After the previous car died on the track, but saved the passengers, for which many thanks to him! (there are pictures - who cares - Kluger is a STRONG MACHINE! iniipet! photo 3). So in the review, a comparison with T. Kluger will periodically flash. (photo 1)
The question of choice - it didn’t really stand out - it was necessary to urgently replace it - a European, without problems, higher / or on a full drive (or better, both - you never know) in connection with which Rafik was taken - after studying the mat. parts - it became clear that the Americans have a definite plus - this is the opportunity to take D4 - 1AZ or 2AZ without any there (since 2004 they began to install - and I really liked the 2.4 engine on Klugere). For some reason, at that moment, no attention was paid to the presence of some kind of Pindos exhaust reduction system with 3 kats ...
And in vain!
Because all the next 7 months, during which 40 thousand kilometers were wound, I really felt like a mobile laboratory for assessing the quality of fuel at gas stations. A little something is not right - keep the Check engine :) And, since the nature of the work is associated with frequent and lengthy business trips, and on the highway - you don’t really choose gas stations, the CHECK has become my almost constant companion on long trips. Although, it must be admitted that this CHEK, apart from some "stupidity" during acceleration, and an increase in appetite with active pedaling, did not carry any other consequences (well, the looming "yellow alarm inscription" on the panel .. after six months, it practically did not fading - began to really annoy :)
From the negative from owning this car -
b) Weakness when overtaking on the track,
c) Some kind of rubber bands in the front suspension for 300 rubles each, which need to be changed every about 20 thousand kilometers, otherwise there is a feeling that the whole suspension is a skiff.
d) Empty, just like a cork salon! Not for music lovers - skip this item - weak music, which, in order to change, you need to suffer (it is non-standard, if you insert 2dina - there are gaps, I did not find overlays)
e) Dirty - that one! Throws everything on himself! the dirt you see. But, in principle - a feature of the class, everything is so ... (photo 2)
g) The need to feed non-switchable four-wheel drive 6 months a year :)
About the pros:
a) Indeed, a universal car! The trunk turned out to be not so small - in any case, there has never been a situation that something .. well, or someone didn’t fit in :) comfortable on vacation. Spacious interior - I always drive retracted to the end - there have never been complaints from the back seat.
b) Excellent stove in winter / condo in summer
c) Cool "springy" suspension - no breakdowns, and in fact I didn’t feel particularly infringed after Harrier / Kluger.
d) High ground clearance, and, plus, purely for me - wheels from Lex RH, Kluger, Highlander - came up! which is very pleasing, because. there were 2 sets of new pouring with rubber, on which it was not possible to ride on Kluge (the elk ran across the road - photo 3 below). Nobody needs tires on the rink? new?.
e) Never let me down, didn’t get stuck, didn’t stall out - this is probably also an indicator
g) Well, and for the remaining 6 months of the year, the buzz from permanent all-wheel drive :) Moreover, despite the fact that the Rav was originally front-wheel drive, it was done in such a way that under gas in a turn, the ass tries to overtake the front, which is sometimes very nice.

Now for all the other points that are undoubtedly of interest to a potential buyer
Salon - in principle, spacious (height 188, weight 120, into the new Rafik, which went from 2006 - I no longer fit - there the panel sticks out right against the knee), transformable (photo 7); I sit - high; I look - far away; it is optimal to climb / climb out (in the prado, for example, it is harder for a child to climb into the back seat).
Expenses, and expense - spare parts as such, except for all sorts of little things for 200 - 300 rubles. in the suspension - I didn’t have to buy, the stand, I recognized it - 3700 rubles; brake pads in the region of 1800 - 2000r. (original), consumables - as usual - cost nothing; here are the catalysts (or lambda probes) - 3pcs * 6890 rubles. - expensive, no - I don’t know, I haven’t encountered such a problem on any of the cars - there’s nothing to compare with.
Gasoline burst - you go 100 along the highway on a cruise (awesome thing, by the way) - 10l. AI92 exactly, then + every 10 km / h add 1 liter to the consumption, i.e. 140 bursts about 14 liters. In the city, in the summer with air conditioning, at least 13.5 liters were obtained - no matter how you persuade him, but, to be honest, mostly - 15. In winter (the car is parked on the street, and it starts up and warms up all night) it even reached 18 liters. The measurement technique - so that they would not be particularly condemned later - filled it up to full, reset it to zero, drove until the light came on - again to full - looked at the mileage, divided it.

The replacement of the computer cost me 20 tr. ours, it’s better than changing the box for 80 tons or even more the whole set for 200, like some. right-handed, the yaps did it for themselves ... The Rex and Krugers have the same problems, where there are 140 korobas, it happens even worse there ... again, the forum has everything ... So why am I now a happy owner of a Subaru ... and happy...

About something more oak - it's Prado! Rafik is very strong! make a pendant! And with Pradik - you need to understand the difference - both in the purchase price and in the cost of operation
I also have 2002. Amerikos and front-wheel drive. Generally tolerable, but 1) somewhere once a week, the ECU is buggy: when shifting gears during acceleration, strong shocks occur. Sold assured that he was doing something with the ECU. I didn't do it, in short. I switch off. I stand a little. Then I turn on again. One or two times is enough and the brains come back to normal. 2) The pendant is very delicate. In the pits it breaks through to the ceiling. 3) Slightly braked machine. 4) Sensitive to benzo. It is worth refueling at Lukoil or at other bodyhouses, which is closer to home and the car does not drive at all. The engine shakes as if in a fit, the speed drops to 100-200 and the CHECK light comes on. Enough for now, but we need to take something more oak :)

You're out of luck with fuel quality. I have the same mileage in full stuffing 200t.km 1 owner. The route 8-10l city is no more than 12, if you don’t break off the traffic lights like a victim and change the candles more often and don’t put iridium ones - they are very sensitive to fuel and instead of the declared 80 t.km they can be covered even after 1t.km. And yes, the comment is correct!
