1995 Toyota RAV4 Review #436

SUPER car! The Japanese auto industry justifies its advertising. Driving a "dream" for a little over 4 years did not know grief. Naturally, at the time of purchase, I climbed and changed the entire chassis, only the thrust bushings and stabilizer struts got to be replaced. The rest is native. Quite a dynamic car and oil consumption for an old engine with a mileage of about 230,000 km is quite tolerable, 1 liter. per 1000 km. Which is not strange, but to any fastener, no matter how you touch it, it turns away at once. Before use, for my confidence, I changed the timing belt. And then just poured gasoline and oil. The box justifies its intelligence, without jerks and smooth shifting, like on new cars. What is remarkable for these engines, when the timing breaks, the valve mechanism remains untouched. The car is just a song! God willing, the next one will also be lucky. Let the new owners go and enjoy!!! Thanks to the Japanese.

1995 Toyota RAV4 Review #729

To be honest, I wanted to buy myself a Toyota Supra in the 70th or 80th body (I really liked it), but the situation developed and I bought a RAVchik (I call it that). I'm pretty young, I'm 20 and all my friends drove sports cars and I drove an SUV. I used to be jealous of them, but now I'm proud of my car. In the summer, if we are going to go to nature, then we will definitely eat in my car, since the RAV copes very well with off-road and holds the road well. The high seating position allows you to drive where an ordinary foreign car (low) simply cannot pass. I also want to note the advantage of all-wheel drive - in winter, any hill can do it. And very good for the city. The car is tall and can be seen very far (convenient in traffic jams).

1995 Toyota RAV4 Review #730

I had a short RAV-4, got it by accident. Changed it to a long one - more deliberately. He took his views of the one who had seen, the muzzle was wrinkled, the ass too, done somehow. I wanted to play tricks, ride, sell ... It dragged on for a year - I fell in love with him and ran into about 50,000. Although they say that only for women - do not believe it! On the highway - up to 100 in 10 seconds (by God, I'm not lying!), The speedometer puts it in 25 seconds! At the traffic lights I was overtaken only by obvious sports shoes like "Seliki". "Levins" and other trifles - sucks! I crawled on it into such mountains that the UAZs were dying - there was not enough darkness! It’s bad that there is no lowered one: it skids on wet grass on steep slopes.

Decided to share my impressions of the machine here. up to rav4 traveled all his life on cars, but there was still when it was a field. From the field left a good impression of its patency and bad from everything else, well, a bucket is a bucket. I never liked big cars, so I decided to take a closer look at small "jeeps", I live in a Russian city with bad asphalt, mud, around the forest and the river, dacha, picnics, fishing. I'll say more. that I had never ridden an automatic before and counted the handle for the peasants. and the machine is for girls)).

1995 Toyota RAV4 Review #584

Since the spring of 2008, I got a RAV4 5-door from Europe. Before that there were: VAZ093, AUDI100S4, Galant 95, VAZ21114. All left hand drive. This one is also on the left, 5 stupas. mechanics. Average condition. I had to invest what I do not regret. Changed almost all silent blocks, rear struts, front pads, anthers. I don't remember the exact price, but it's not very expensive. I poured whiskey 3000 10w40 .. I drive on 93 gasoline. Due to the nature of work, I travel a lot, namely 5-9 thousand per month. The car never failed. I also drove into the mountains where you can only on an UAZ, plowing on the field, a little bit through the mud. Recently, in fresh snow, I was driving through such a snowdrift that the snow flew over the hood. Obviously, the permeability is on top. Until it bogged down. On the first ice, on frankly worn out winter tires, I confidently drove at a speed of 90 km / h, while others, who also, as always, did not have time to change tires in time, carefully drove 60 km / h.

1995 Toyota RAV4 Review #374

Good day to everyone! I am writing a review for the first time! There were a lot of cars in operation_taz 2101-taz 2106-taz 21099-taz 2110-then Karina 98g melted! Nexia 2004 in a dead state for 110,000, which he soon regretted, somehow sold it to a couple for 70,000 rubles! And the question arose of what to buy? I was interested in money, it was only 270000 rubles, I found it in Kemerovo. The first impression was an unforgettable red color, it didn’t bother me much! Very high landing, spacers were installed, as I understand it! The rubber was wide (235-65) because of which it looked very interesting, although it was almost bald Velcro! the mileage was 311,300 km!!! phoned the owner and he came to Novokuznetsk, he had a price of 300,000 rubles, but since I didn’t have so much, we agreed for 270,000. it was in February 2013, because of bad tires I was driving instead of 2-hour 3, it was probably very slippery! Well, of course, the first impressions were very good! we are very happy with such a big car !!!! After driving for a week, I successfully registered it !!! And I decided to change the oil and filters everywhere, candles, antifreeze. At the same time I bought a first aid kit, an emergency sign !! I started to change it myself and was shocked !!!!! -in the box instead of 5 liters there were 3 liters - let's move on -began to drain the oil from the gearbox -ran for some reason one water_okay replaced!!! tightened-normul) the car worked differently (as it seemed to me). then it turned out that the rear right upper arm needed to be changed-replace l! before driving until the summer, well, it somehow buzzes during acceleration, after consulting with people, I decided to break through the catalyst - it helped a lot the car came to life, it began to go much faster !!! but for some reason there was a high fuel consumption, as I thought, I decided to flush the nozzles, they did everything for me for 1100r, in general, beauty! I traveled through our mountains, well, where there are more or less roads! I got stuck, but I went everywhere myself! to Altai on the swan river, in general, beauty, without any problems, the car did not disappoint !!! though a very hard suspension, but oh well, but a jeep !!!! broke down 100 km from the lady, well, I think that I should be in a jeep !!!!! the car has stalled !!! well, I think the engine is kapets !!! no, just the timing belt has burst! now it’s necessary and dragging my car on a trailer!!! caught a ride, sent 15k! I’m standing on the road slowing down cars, even the Ministry of Emergency Situations slowed down - hell, they stopped !!!! but oh well, a friend put down !!! I bought a timing belt, rollers and belts for a hydraulic and generator issue price-3300r, found out the price of replacing the belt for a hundred was shocked 3000r well, I think somehow myself !!! invited a friend to help 3 hours and everything works !!!! then a trip to Kemerovo turned up, I took rubber on credit dynlop 215- 70 issue price 20000r. I drove back and forth without problems, accelerated to 150 km per hour !!! when I arrived it turned out I was eating 1.5 liters of oil! Then I decided to buy winter tires, I came to Novokuznetsk on the market and they advised me Nordman Suf 215-70! The price of the issue is 7300r for a wheel !!!! I really liked the tires I ride on it like a tractor very good cross-country ability, although many say bullshit like Russian rubber! and just a month ago we decided to sell the rafchik and buy a car of the past, like Karina was! but as time passed, a lot of snow fell, I went out where the fields got stuck in the SRV skidded !!! I drove through without any problems! let's leave the rafchik better, to hell with him that he eats gasoline much more than I had a carina 1.5 !!!! the store turned off, we went out satisfied, we bought everything, we sat down, it wouldn’t start, as a result, I put the battery in, the question arose on what to carry the car with a lady, it’s about 20 km, I went to ask and, as always, who can’t carry a machine gun on a trailer, who has no time! and he agreed without any problems, even though the variator! We drove all the way 45-50 km / h! The next day I drove the car into a warm box to a friend, put the battery to charge! I came in 2 hours, I think let me try to start it, and she took it and started I was shocked, well, we think I got gasoline with water at a gas station, then they advised me to take a special additive, I went to buy an additive for 400 rubles and went to the gas station in order to fill in another 20 liters of gasoline, only 92 already, but again at Gazprom !!! we are considered the best gas station! drove up, poured out the additive, filled it with benz --- start it up but it doesn't want to start, from pushing a little let's call a friend of mine to buy a fuel filter and bring it!!! replaced the filter --- start the horseradish won't start let's think I decided to check if the fuel pump is working lifted the seat and the fuel pump didn’t even buzz, knocked on the tank next to it and a miracle happened --- it started up, and so 10 times probably within 3 days !!! tired !!!! I bought a new fuel pump and a grid issue price 1070r !!! while there is nothing more to write !!! e judge strictly!!!! Forgot to add the car is withdrawn from sale is no longer for sale !!!!!!! And I'll throw the photo into the mix !!!! Well, in general, a very good car !!! I will add more photos later!

1995 Toyota RAV4 Review #748

Buying this car was a matter of chance. At that time I went to Toyota Windom, I did not know grief, but I already wanted something else for 3 years of operation, everything seemed to become boring like it's time to change. I didn’t pay much attention to RAv before, but then a Japanese friend sent a photo and description to my mail, so they say it’s an interesting option and not at all expensive, because. friends sell. I didn’t think for a long time, the scoundrel was painfully handsome, and selling it if I thought it wouldn’t be difficult. It's decided, everything is paid, it remains only to wait, which is the most exciting thing in the whole process of obtaining a car. It seems far from the first, but you still worry about how and what. It was before the next customs crisis, just before the new year, and the frosts were -40C. Well, I thought, I won’t have time to get there, as it gets into repair with my native Japanese antifreeze. In general, they came to meet the grid with the most gray thoughts, dragged a hefty battery (as practice shows, small relatives are only suitable for the summer, in the winter of Khan) the key to start and Ravik came to life. The first experiences passed, survived! In a warm box and in the sink! Of course, it looks like a toy, and given that the Japanese spent a lot of money on all sorts of alterations, then he simply cannot dislike him. And this affected not only external changes: (arc, foglights, 2 hatches, sills, footboard, side and rear spoilers, headlight covers, bumper covers, rear brake lights, chrome plated lighting, chrome sports silencer, sports air filter, transverse amplifier of the front struts, a powerful horn) but also a completely different suspension, namely sports. shortened dampers and springs, other castings and rubber. According to my estimates, all this pleasure cost around $ 6,000.

1995 Toyota RAV4 Review #713

I bought the car a week ago, first impressions, probably like everyone else, especially considering that I moved to it after Toyota Chayzer 95 onwards. There is no sound insulation, rigidity in the rear of the chassis, hence the periodic roar when passing through certain bumps or pits. The front wheels meet pits and bumps (which I was very surprised) softer than even on the Chayzer. The slide switches on the stove, of course, don’t look very cool, but it seems to me that they will be more reliable, and the stove heats up as needed, I even open the window, I think I won’t freeze in winter. The steering wheel rotates a bit tight (compared to the Chayzer). The seats are not very comfortable, you will have to buy additional soft capes. Of course, the scoreboard with the instruments is a little small, but I'm already getting used to it (on the Chayzer it was completely electronic) Landing is higher, visibility is better. The side mirrors are too small, as well as the rear view itself, in the Chayzer it was the same size, but it did not cause discomfort, I will buy longer ones. The back door rumbles and creaks, I will do something with it. I haven’t checked the driving performance yet, but at the entrance to the house (the road we have there is not so hot) the food is more confident than on the Chayzer. In general, every day my impressions are changing for the better, I think that I did not lose.

1995 Toyota RAV4 Review #689

So, it took more than six months of operation of my RAVchika. Impressions are only positive, I took the car for myself on common sense. Cross-country ability .... more than satisfied, at least I drive perfectly along gullies to the dacha (except for the glossy slope of 30 degrees after the rain, it was slightly blown to the side), around the city - where necessary, you can drown, and so - this is a car that has for relaxed driving. The wife is also very pleased, there is no comparison with NIVA (in terms of comfort and behavior on the road).

1995 Toyota RAV4 Review #316

My wife was due to give birth in a couple of months, I decided to give her a gift. To buy a car. Since my wife has 0 driving experience, there was no talk of a more or less new car. Defined a budget of 250 tr. and let her choose. For some reason, I thought that she would choose some fit or vitz, but she pointed her finger at the three-door ravchik. Previously, I had not come across Rav-4, so I had to read, look a little, not numerous reviews. And in the end, I liked this car myself. They chose a right-hand drive car for my wife, since my car is also right-hand drive, and I’m already used to right-hand drive, I’ve already become relatives :)
