2019 Toyota RAV4 Review #123

I bought a new RAV4, comfort equipment, 2-liter engine, CVT, 18-inch wheels, all-wheel drive! Prior to that, three years went to the previous body (also new, the same 2-liter, 17 wheels, CVT all-wheel drive, "comfort +" equipment, still Japan). What are the feelings compared to the previous RAV4, I will say in one word - comfort. This is a completely different car. The car has become more comfortable, closer to the Camry, more comfort, a lot of electronics (electronic handbrake, hold-on, start button, keyless entry). The car has one drawback - the price! I don’t understand why in the USA, in terms of the current exchange rate, plus even their sales tax, I would buy the maximum configuration (30 thousand dollars). For Russians, this is all frankly expensive - I buy a new car for 2.1 million rubles, which is produced in Russia in St. Petersburg and get a minimum of opportunities. I really want a Safety package, I want the mirrors to fold themselves, I want leather (well, not really, but I do))), but this is 2.7 million - this is a good new "odnushka" in our city. It's really not clear, I'm a simple person and I had to "credit" to buy this equipment (trading). spoke out). Now further - the entire front (wings, hood) is made of aluminum and plastic (apron), the magnet is not magnetized. Consumption - stable 11.5 liters in the city, 8 liters on the highway. At a speed of 110 km / h, the engine spins around 2 thousand revolutions per minute. The noise level was measured by an application on the phone, it turns out that when driving around the city the level is no more than 40 decibels, on the highway no more than 60 decibels - I think this is excellent, if only I could remove the howls of the engine (it "howls" during acceleration) and then a complete victory. I'll give you all the pros and cons.

2007 Toyota RAV4 Review #272

Good day dear readers of my next review. I have been driving on the right steering wheel since 2003, before that I have been driving different models of the Russian car industry for 14 years - from eared to five VAZ. In 2003 he moved to the right hand drive - the first car was Toyota Spasio 2000 (spacious, reliable and just wonderful). In 2007, I wrote my first review about it. His current heir in the family since 2008 is the 2004 Toyota Picnic (Ipsum version with 2.0L). This review is already the seventh in terms of the number of our family cars.

1997 Toyota RAV4 Review #745

Mother Siberia and its roads, this already says a lot. Financial opportunities and, at the same time, an active lifestyle turned my attention to relatively inexpensive Japanese-made SUVs RAV4, CR-V, Suzuki-Escudo. I settled on the purchase of a RAV4 car purposefully, taking into account the study of the characteristics of classmates Honda CR-V, Suzuki - Escudo. I didn’t even consider the options of European automakers, and there are no analogues to the above cars, in the price range and technical condition (only used cars of 5 years of age without mileage in the CIS are taken into account).

2011 Toyota RAV4 Review #434

For 10 months now, I have been “running a dream”, my expectations were met in some ways, but not in some ways. Today, 25,600 of them have about 6,000 mileage on the sands and steppes (hunting and fishing), which is why I took a mechanic and four-wheel drive. From the date of purchase until the beginning of December, I left on a regular Bridge. In March 12, we had a lot of snow and I decided to drive through the virgin lands. The first kilometer feels like the car is being held by the butt??!! Then, after thinking, I turned off the TRC button and connected the all-wheel drive, here things went more fun, 2-2.5 km on the virgin snow without problems, the height of the snow cover in places up to the thresholds. / therefore, for 40 km there is no “drive” as we can on all-wheel drive jeeps or even on Niva. But what to do, apparently, the Japanese are not in the house that we also drive across the virgin lands. I spent the whole autumn traveling through the steppes and dunes; here I have no complaints about the sands without problems if you don’t gas it up. Here, thanks for the clearance, in some places I just had to go not along the road, but in the direction. No problems when crossing transverse roads and other irregularities. The suspension works above all praise. Now we have piled snow and put on spikes (all 4 wheels) Gislaved Nord Frost V in standard size first impression. handling is predictable in snow and ice. A bit noisy but without irritation. As for spending the night in a car, as someone already wrote here, with the rear ones unfolded, you can sleep calmly by placing a foam pad or, as I do, I drive a blanket in the trunk, it does not take up space, and at the right time there is not enough at hand whether what? The car suits me, given that I have to carry everything from fishing rods, guns to tents and other belongings, there is enough space. Now about the unpleasant, from driving through the steppes a creak of the tailgate appeared, it is treated by replacing the rubber bushings from the bumper of the "six" hood, the price is 10-15 rubles apiece. Panel creaks appeared, possibly from frost, I have not figured it out yet. I somehow don’t bother at the stand. Now, in cold weather, the function of heating the wiper zone is very useful. Moreover, the heating of mirrors and the rear window does not automatically turn off !!! But about the seat heating, you need to check it, although it probably also doesn’t turn off, otherwise how can you understand one is the other is not? Another of the minuses is a weak LK coating, small scratches appeared on the body, the result of driving through the steppes, reeds, etc., small chips appeared one on the hood of the other for some reason on the spare wheel casing. Now, in terms of consumption, everything is in your hands or feet, it’s more correct to say, at speeds up to 120 km, my consumption on the highway is 8-8.5 liters, well, when I allow myself to fool around a little on the highway, it reaches 12.5. , at the start, it somehow thinks a little, but then it accelerates very briskly. Another minus the rear bumper overhang is low when moving obstacles, you can bend or even lose it. car, it justifies itself for the price you paid and I hope it will serve you as a reliable partner in your travels, work, rest. Now allow me to bow out.

2008 Toyota RAV4 Review #270

In the summer of 2015, I began to regularly travel outside the city for work, mainly to hard-to-reach settlements. At that time, he moved on an Avensis in a 250 body in 2006. Of course, he coped, but the clearance was not enough from time to time and the bumper had to be corrected often. As a result, the car was sold, and the money set aside. There was no need for an urgent purchase since there was still a Mercedes in the 211 body. It was just a thrill to drive around the city from pit to pit. But the roads in Omsk were getting worse and the next cycle of business trips around the region was approaching. A 2008 RAF4 was gathering dust in the garage with only 19,000 km of mileage. My mother drove it and it was practically new. Over the years, my mother stopped driving herself and the car just remained standing. There is no extra money, and we in the family decided that I would ride it for work.

1995 Toyota RAV4 Review #436

SUPER car! The Japanese auto industry justifies its advertising. Driving a "dream" for a little over 4 years did not know grief. Naturally, at the time of purchase, I climbed and changed the entire chassis, only the thrust bushings and stabilizer struts got to be replaced. The rest is native. Quite a dynamic car and oil consumption for an old engine with a mileage of about 230,000 km is quite tolerable, 1 liter. per 1000 km. Which is not strange, but to any fastener, no matter how you touch it, it turns away at once. Before use, for my confidence, I changed the timing belt. And then just poured gasoline and oil. The box justifies its intelligence, without jerks and smooth shifting, like on new cars. What is remarkable for these engines, when the timing breaks, the valve mechanism remains untouched. The car is just a song! God willing, the next one will also be lucky. Let the new owners go and enjoy!!! Thanks to the Japanese.

1996 Toyota RAV4 Review #688

This most worthy apparatus was purchased for my wife, since at that time he himself was moving to TLC 81. In November 2001, a ravchik came to Olga (530 km from Vladik). Mileage 59,000 km (native, because it was bought by a Japanese partner). Small patch on the left front fender. Driven together with my wife. My impressions: it holds the road perfectly, is moderately nimble and has plenty of room for me (even now on my 110 kg). Despite the snowy road, they ran without incident.
